Jude O'Donnell Psychology
Sport, exercise, and life are constantly changing. Along the way, our confidence, motivation, relationships, thoughts, and emotions are all tested in different ways. Whether you're striving to perform at your best, rediscovering your enjoyment of exercise, or navigating a period of change, psychological support can help you move forward with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

About Jude
My approach is grounded in years of studying psychology, specialist training in sport and exercise psychology, and published research. More importantly, it is built around getting to know you.
Every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and challenges, which is why I do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to psychological support.
Just as the seasons change, so do we. Throughout sport and life, there are periods of growth, pressure, uncertainty, and renewal. Together, we'll develop a better understanding of what is shaping your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and values, while building practical skills that help you respond with greater confidence and clarity.

Support is collaborative, respectful, and shaped around the person in front of me.
Current research and professional practice guide the work, without losing sight of lived experience.
The practice is built to be inclusive, ethical, and attentive to identity, context, and power.
The aim is not just insight, but strategies you can actually use beyond the session.
How we work together

We begin with your experiences, strengths, goals, and the context around what you want to change.

We map the thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and values shaping what is happening for you.

We build strategies that fit your life, sport, and goals, from confidence to communication and regulation.

We test what helps in training, competition, and everyday life, then refine it together.
Why sport and exercise psychology?
Across sport, exercise, and everyday life, people often spend a great deal of time developing the physical, technical, and tactical side of performance while the psychological side is left to guesswork.
Support can help when you are building confidence, managing pressure, navigating injury or transition, improving your relationship with exercise, or simply wanting to feel more steady in what you do.

Research that shapes practice
My work includes a published piece exploring how sport and exercise psychologists can support young people's mental health through community sport.
